The Happenings as of late...(alternately titled: Megan got her Groove Back)

Yes, I am aware that it has been over a week since I posted last. I am still slacking. I just haven't been in the mood to blog lately. Not that I haven't had things to talk about, I just have been so stinkin' tired that I haven't been able to muster up the strength to do any posts....until now that is. I'm still dog tired, but I decided to bite the bullet and write a little tonight.

So I got a new car. :) I got it this past Saturday. I'm loving it very much. It drives so smooth and is a definite step (or two) up from my last car. (I was going to insert a picture of my old car, but I couldn't find a good one. I guess that shows you how much I loved it) In all seriousness the car served our family well. It got both me and Lisa through college and served the purpose of getting me places. My new car though is beautiful. It's a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It's very pretty! I hadn't taken a picture of it until right before this post, because well... I'm usually the one taking pictures of the new cars, and since I was preoccupied being the new car owner this time I didn't get the "first drive into the driveway" picture. Oh well.

On topic with new cars.... Why on earth would people choose to get new cars more often than 5 years? That was the worst, most stressful experience I have ever had purchasing something before. I was nervous, sweating, and very uncomfortable the entire time. I felt like I was being scammed the entire time! I'm glad my dad was there, because otherwise I would have signed my life away and not have known it. I won't even go into the fact that they will not give me a driver's side car mat, are taking forever in getting me a car manual and my airbag light keeps going off. I hope I don't have to deal with another car salesman for a very very long time!

I feel as though I am afflicted with vertigo today. I feel very off-balance. Everytime I bend over and come back up I feel dizzy and light-headed. That can't be good. I've also had a little bit of a sore throat, but nothing too big to report on. I feel fine otherwise. Guess I'll ride it out.

So has anyone read the book Heaven: God's answers for your every need by Randy Alcorn? My dad brought the "Touchpoints" version back from CA with him and Lisa quickly snatched it up and said she wanted to read it. Well, then Holli began reading it and both have reported that it's a must read. It's supposed to answer questions about what Heaven will be like. I'm looking forward to cracking it open and learning more!

Is anyone else utterly addicted to the Reeses peanut butter pastel eggs? I mean, I love peanut butter like no other, but that crunchy pastel coating just brings me such delight. Its like a Reeses pieces on steroids. The eggs are about 3x bigger! Yum! I should really cut back on how many I eat though. I'm trying to lose weight, not gain. (I say this as I just snuck another one out of the bag and quickly popped it into my mouth). Shameful.

I have 7 more weeks of orientation and then I'm on my own at work. Ahhh! I'm halfway through and although I feel as though I've learned tons I still have moments where I feel so stupid! I'm hoping that gets better soon. :/ I love my preceptor to pieces and I will be sad to see her go. I'm looking forward to switching to the more laid back pace of nights though. Days are so busy, and for a beginner I think it's better to start off slower when you are by yourself. I'm also looking forward to making it awake past 9:30p. I am a night owl at heart, and this whole falling asleep early routine is really getting old. Only 5 more weeks of days. I can make it!

Well, I think I will get my scrubs laid out for tomorrow and settle into bed to read. Hope everyone had a good week! Enjoy your weekend... I'll be at work. :p

Keep that new car as long as possible!

I need to grab a book and head to bed too - that sounds like heaven.

What ya reading?
