End of School Celebration!
Freedom!!!!
Nursing school is OVER!
All I have to get through now is Graduation and then my primary focus will be preparing for and taking the NCLEX. All next week I will be back at school for my NCLEX review. I know... I can't get away from it.
After NCLEX review I will be bombarded with orientations out the wahzoo. I literally have 4 different orientation events to attend in the month of January. I will be so glad when I can move on past all of this and actually be working and in a routine.
Well, I'm tired and need to go take some tylenol for my pain. Talk to you all later. :)

Another final bites the dust...
I can hardly believe it!
Two A's!!!! This last test will be a B in the class, but I've resolved myself to being okay with that. I think....
I'll be studying tonight, even though I can get a 30% and still get an B in the class. :)
Tomorrow I will be as free as a bird!

"Are you a student?"
When we got there it was surprising how many people were out. A lot of them I knew. So this is what people my age do when they aren't bogged down with school work. Anyway, we got there and Robin went ahead of me. She paid, got her ticket and moved to the side so I could get mine. I told the kid behind the counter what movie I wanted to see and he punched it in and then gave me the once over. I looked back at him not sure what he was thinking(mind you this all transpired over about 2 seconds). Then he says, "Uh, are you a student?" I thought to myself "for 8 more days I am!" I said, "yes, I am." Just like that... $1.50 fell off the price of my ticket. Next to me Robin was like "What?! I'm a student too!" We started cracking up! I think the kid felt bad and didn't know what to do. I think he was just wishing us to move along so he could get the other people behind us their tickets. Robin said, "I feel so old." I don't think that Robin is old. In fact, I know she's not. I just think he thought she was more mature looking. She was all glammed up with her sparkly lip gloss and her freshly cut hair that was all hair sprayed and big. :) (heehee, just kidding Robin! You know I love ya!) Anyway, we got a good laugh out of that.
Oh what great friends you make in nursing school.

Only 3 weeks?! That's not enough time!
That isn't nearly enough time to finish my shopping. I tried to do a little shopping after class today but I was too tired to get very far. Plus I was looking for something specific and when I wasn't finding it I quickly got more tired and discouraged. The only people I am done shopping for are mom and dad and the only reason I'm done with them is because the three of us girls go in their gifts together. Maybe I will attempt some sort of shopping tomorrow. We'll see.
Well, today was my last day of class in nursing school. I have two finals left and then I am done. It's hard to believe how fast my years in the educational system have gone. It's crazy to think how much knowledge has been stuffed into my brain. Of course I've purged those things that were unnecessary along the way, but still, there's a whole lot left in the ol' noggin'.
I'm looking forward to the day when I can see the bottom of my desk again. It is a mess! I have NCLEX review books here, notes there, post-its...everywhere! My room is a disaster in fact. If you're coming to my party don't be looking forward to a tour of the house. My room will be closed with an "Enter at your own risk!" sign on the door, with a little bit of caution tape, and red flashing lights. You think that will get the message across?
I hardly know what to do with myself now that I don't have practice NCLEX questions and assignments due. I should study for my finals, but I'm relaxing a bit before things get crazy next week. True, I only finals Monday and Tuesday, but we are going to see Terry Fador as a family on Wednesday and Senior Send off and Graduation practice is Thursday. Then Saturday is graduation at 9 am, followed by Sunday which is my graduation open house. :) It's a full, but good, week I have ahead of myself.
Well, I am off to read a book or maybe go to bed. I haven't decided yet. I'm tired, and I started to read a kind of depressing book, so either I'll continue and fall asleep or switch to a new one. Or maybe I'll watch a movie. The possibilities are endless when you're done with school! :)

Just cake now...right?
**********************************************
I got to talk to my precious little Brooke on the phone tonight. Her dad called to see if I could watch them the 13th (but of course I can't because that's the day I graduate) and then this friday (but again, I can't because I already told Robin I would watch her kiddos). Well, I could hear her in the background and he said, "Hold on Brooke wants to talk to you." So pretty soon I hear her sweet little voice over the phone and she goes, "Megan! You gonna come see me?" I had to tell her no, but that I would see her soon. She replies with, "Tonight?" Haha... "No. Not tonight, but soon." "Soon?" "Yup. Soon." So she says, "Ok. See ya later!" So as she's passing the phone back to her dad I hear her telling him in an excited voice, "I gonna see Megan soon!" She's killin' me!!! I already miss them a ton, and the fact that I have pretty close to zero time free in my schedule in the next few weeks leading up to Christmas doesn't help the matter. I will definitely be seeing them soon though, because I can't stand it too much longer.

So does everyone want to see what my open house invites look like?? I think everyone should have gotten theres by now.

Aren't they good? I think Tara did an excellent job! :)

So... are you ready for the countdown? It's getting more and more things crossed off. :)
One PresentationOne Exam
Three Finals. One paper400 NCLEX/MedsPub questions (approximately)One shift left of work on 2400.One girl's weekendTwo One more MOPS until graduation. One concert. One retreat.Three 1 1/2 weeks until Graduation. Two Five days until finals.
Getting closer, and getting more freaked out. I registered for my graduate nurse orientation. That's not my RN orientation, but it will allow me to work in the "graduate nurse" role until I pass the NCLEX, which by the way I still don't have any information on. Ugh! I'm getting a little tired of this.
****************************************
I have been a reading fool the last couple of days. I finished my one book that I've been reading since the beginning of the semester. I think I was 50 pages in or something, so I finished that Saturday before work, then started another one right after. I have 100 pages left and then I'm moving on to the next. I can't seem to get my fill now that I have a little more spare time. I am a bookworm that is for sure.

Well, that's all I have for now. I'm tapped. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I never did blog about mine did I? Hmm... well let's just say instead of board games this year we playeed Wii. Even my dad got in on the action. :)
OK, I think I'm really done this time. I'm doing an online final tomorrow with Robin and Ashley at our trusty food place of choice..Panera. :) Then I'll only have two tests standing in the way of me and graduation! :)
